How lovely to abandon the hustle of the crowded streets and penetrate this oasis of peace and serenity! The Islamic garden, even if freely interpreted has maintained intact its square structure which symbolises order. The water wall strikes the eye but is not just decorative, it means purity. Eastern sober elegance, scents, colours, sounds, silences and flavours make this place special, time here seems to have stopped and it is like living between dream and reality.

This twenties' villa restoration is inspired by that period's beach resort architecture, the inside was completely transformed according to an essential contemporary taste linearity which still preserves the mark and the atmosphere of the aristocratic residence the Carducci used to be.

At the ground floor, in front of the pool, the restaurant - open to all - is specialised in Japanese dishes. The bar, also of free access, opens upon the terrace on the sea and an aperitif as the sun sets is a summer must. When the good season ends and the Romagna beach empties the Carducci acquires the special and slightly melancholic charm of the winter sea.

Carducci 76 is also a beautiful web site, which I thoroughly recommend visiting. The presentation allows the visitor to cross the garden, pausing in the zen lobby, or look out the terrace onto the garden at dusk. It also succeeds in communicating through sounds and images the place's atmosphere and understand its philosophy.
