The agrarian consortium in Siena as created a pasta collection that is absolutely recognisable by significant qualities. It is called Spaghetti made in Siena and you will be quick at pin pointing it, through factors such as the origin of the durum wheat, the processing stage, the pasta production and its packaging. The realisation is of Agrarian Consortium of Siena which managed the whole production process of the sector: the durum wheat is cultivated from selected seeds, in the companies of the members of the Consortium itself; the raw material goes first through a handmade pasta factor which, following traditional production techniques, produces 'made in Siena' durum wheat pasta.
Promoters of the initiative also point out the spaghetti 'made in Siena' idea is in "in full agreement with the idea of traceability of the cereal production process ".
