Held in Milan until the 24th March 2002, at the Basilica di San Marco and in the churches of some Municipalities of the province, the third edition of the schedule of sacred music concerts "Il cantico della primavera pasquale": an opportunity to elevate the spirit, investigating the reasons of the sacred.There are many dates, carried out during Lent, and have as main theme that of Jesus' s last seven words. They attract the other words -Requiem, Miserere, Exultet, Credo, Kyrie, Passio - which give the go-ahead to the six appointments of the series of events.
First overall performance of the work written by two contemporary composers: Milanese Alessandro Solbiati and Ticino-born Nadir Vassena. Also, in the field of ancient music, a truly rare and precious listening is on offer: the three Miserere by Des Prez, Gabrieli and Allegri.
Also important, finally, the closing concert on Palm Sunday (24 March in San Marco church) where the Divertimento Ensemble directed by Sandro Gorli performs, for the first time in the city, "Passione secondo Marco", by Claudio Ambrosiani, of which a cd is about to be released, Stradivarius edition.
All appointments are free of charge.
