Almost two years since his last "Cercasi amore" (Disco d'oro in '99) the new single in on the radios, called: "Sdraiati dentro di me" and, after just a week, it was already at the 35th place of the special chart Music control (number of radio passages).

This is not at all surprising if we consider that Gatto's success is owed more to radio than to tv, a  media that often ignores quality music, giving it little space.

"I chose to start with this track " Gatto Panceri explains "because it has a warm atmosphere and in this moment of emotional paralysis it is, among my songs, the one that transmits the most peace ".

Thus Gatto, after a period of absence due to the preparation of the album, returns with this ballad, which does actually transmit a lot of warmth, with its sound somewhere between Shade and Santana .

A guitar rif almost bossa that perpetuates during the song gives, with its rhythmic base, a sort of latin-soul feeling, from which Gatto's voice comes captivatingly both in the solo part and in the choirs, later to fuse into a string orchestra made up of 30 elements, while the sound of a vibraphone recalls vaguely newage atmospheres.

"Sdraiati dentro di me" is an exhortation to let go, to find the place for simple things to abandon oneself to a refuge where love's rhythms dictate the time and beat its passing in absolute relax.

"The album required a long preparation work - Gatto continues-, a period of time I spent exploring new musical worlds and new musical atmospheres, to arrive at a different sound from that of previous albums, which, however, maintains its roots giving continuity to the past ".

Talking to Gatto it is clear that every track of the album was cared for in the same way and that his work doesn't want to exhaust itself just in the search for one or two songs to lead the whole cd.

"Each song is a different path, the listener must be able to let go inside this path without feeling the need to move onto a further track (skipping in slang) because he likes it more or less. I tried to work with this intention without preferring one track over the other but trying to have all tracks of the same qualitative level ".
