"Observing design... twenty years of Giugiaro Design" is almost a family album, with photographs of a company's 'creatures' that was able to grow and keep up with the times, inventing and following with humility and rigour a working method that had allowed it to develop it projects in the most varied application fields.

From this versatility the idea of a book was born - published by Electa - in which to enter a selection of the objects created by Giugiaro Design from 1981 to today.

The projects for the most varied sectors are commented by 25 personalities from the world of music, show business, communication, art, design and culture.

Twenty-five VIPs - from Helmut Newton to Luciano De Crescenzo - have chosen among Giugiaro Design's projects the one that has most impressed them: the bottle designed for Fonti San Bernardo, pasta, a tyre, a logo, the Be Up, the vehicle halfway between a scooter and a car launched in 2000.

Photographs, drafts and technical drawings illustrate Giugiaro's 'secrets', a design factory that has been, for twenty years, coalescing aesthetics and functionality, irony and intelligence, awareness and technology, and that - as architect Lorenzo Marini stated - has designed a "chain of products joined by the silk thread of quality ".
