In the Italian goldsmith tradition 'Casa Damiani' is born in the first half of the nineteenth century starting a personal tradition which in 1976 (with the bracelet 'Shark mouth') was awarded the De Beers Diamonds International Award, that is the Oscar of the goldsmith design.
With their collections they were able to interpret and anticipate the trends of Italian jewellery: in the '90's with the rediscovery of white gold, and with the reappraisal of platinum, no longer relegated to high jewellery but materialised in modern and more accessible creations.
Innovative within tradition, Damiani was the first the certify the guarantee of each piece with an identity certificate that attests in a univocal way pieces and characteristics of the materials: a true innovation which has become a standard today.
The showroom opened by Damiano Grassi Damiani in Milan, located in the heart of the city, in front of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, places itself in an aristocratic nineteenth century palace, restored owing to the intervention of the family itself.
The creative tradition of Casa Damiani today is entrusted to Silvia Damiani, daughter of the founder of the house, Damiano Grassi Damiani, designer winner in 1996 of a De Beers Award owing to the Blue Moon earrings, and responsible for the image and communication of the family business.
Part of Casa Damiani, as well as the Damiani collection, is also the Salvini collection.
