The world of Alviero Martini

Travel, adventure and discovery are the subjects to which Alviero Martini, designer, has tied in the creative idea which denotes  the fashion, leather items and home collections. Bags, shoes, clothes or furnishing fabrics, with the evocative strength of the ancient geographical maps,  recall in our every day life a wish to immerse into the charm of faraway countries.

Born in Cuneo, Alviero Martini cultivates the great interests of his life: art, fashion and travels; his first professional experiences are between the tailor's workshops and stage, cinema and advertising performances. When the stage experience was over, Alviero Martini works as interior designer, always pursuing the dream of fashion up to the meeting with his first geographical map in Russia which will determine the change and the birth of his new brand: "1a Classe", which today is a registered trademark throughout the world.

In 1990 his first collection is presented in New York, ensuring the Italian stylist the cover of the Women's Wear Daily and the tribute of the New York Times. The headquarters of Alviero Martini are in Milan, but there are 1000 retail points in the whole world. Among these New York, Seoul and Saint Tropez.
Among loyal friends and customers of the maison, Alviero Martini is appreciated by figures such as: Whitney Houston, Valeria Mazza, Billy Zane, the Queen of Denmark, Carla Fracci, Luciana Savignano, Charlotte Rampling, Ornella Muti and Cameron Diaz.

The collection that especially distinguishes the taste and philosophy of the designer, is "Classe Alviero Martini": a collection of accessories, all developed on golden and warm map-beiges for modern travellers of our time. The trip continues between domestic walls: furnishing fabrics, and home accessories, from sheets to bedcovers, from towel collections to china, represent the precious icons that surround us every day, projecting us in the exotic vision of Alviero Martini's elegance.
