Patty Pravo, her real name Nicoletta Strabelli, is back on stage, getting ready to tackle the Sanremo Festival with a totally energetic approach, albeit not taking that victory many expect for granted. "I woke up and re-discovered life, the will to get all my energy out and fight. Now I live with different eyes and this is why I don't expect anything in particular from Sanremo... I hope in good luck and touch wood ".Many have wondered why Patty Pravo returned to the SanRemo Fetsival. "Why not? Sanremo is still a great showcase, especially in a country such as Italy, where tv is shameful...There is no space for music, which is why I find it wonderful to live in Brazil. There you work well, there is less confusion compared to Italy - less artistic, and political, confusion ".
"L'immenso", the track marking the return of Pravo in Sanremo's singing event after four years of absence, is part of her cd "Radio Station", which will be issued on the 8th March. In the album a taste for experimenting is re-discovered with the contribution of many artists, young talents, very different authors and musicians, from I Cugini di Campagna to Rome's Orchestra d'archi, to cello player Jacques Morelembaum.
Her taking part at the Festival of Italian Song is the first step to promote the new cd, recorded between Rome, London, Rio De Janeiro and Japan. Also in preparation is the tour that will bring the artist from the Piper club around the world with an autobiographical musical - of which she is the author and director - called "Minaccia", set to start in May, at Assago's Filaforum.
