A survey that picks up on the moves from the effects produced by the law that has normalised the thermal sector, for the first time dealing in an integrated way the topic of sector development and predicting the recognition of social and financial relevance of the hydrothermal heritage in Italy and of the therapeutic validity of thermal cures.

The research also shows the results of the study "Prospects offered by the general policy law on the thermal system: towards a thermal environmental quality brand", with the aim to provide useful indications on strategic policies that will ensure the development of the sector.

The thermal one is a sector with strong development potential, owing to new needs, which are not just curative but also aimed to the search for a more widespread well being: in the Tuscany region in particular, the trends of Montecatini and Chianciano area strongly pulling.

The rigour that used to distinguish the old image of the thermal spa-place of healing is gradually disappearing and leaving its place to a more modern version.

Judging by the Unioncamere research, winning strategies for a positive future of the thermal activity in Italy, and particularly in Tuscany, will be directed by the ability to renovate on the tracks of tradition as well as on the ability of getting organised according to managerial points of view
