Lovers of taste
 Imagine a veranda surrounded by plants and flowers, and then a welcoming environment, an entire family spoils you from the moment you arrive and delights you with each joy of the palate. No evident ‘cuteness', not even a hint of formalisms. This is the restaurant 'Le Giare', a place of historical origins near Niguarda –at the gates of Milan.
Habitual customers, who feel like ‘at home’, already know, even before they sit down, that they will not resist the temptation of fresh fish, which every morning comes directly from the market.
On the other hand, it is much too easy to be tempted by the sweet and juicy mussels prepared in the old fashioned way, in plain or tomato version, or by the softness of the hot polyp, served with potatoes and rocket.
And the first courses? Languid and abundant, they satisfy every degree of appetite: linguine all'astice dominate, prepared only upon order, on which still live lobsters tower – the cook every time spends a couple of minutes of commotion before resolving to carry out the ‘misfit’; the linguine allo scoglio do a great job for themselves, courted by mixed sea salad and crustaceans; lovers of spaghetti alle vongole, strictly genuine, are driven to exasperation.
If we get deeper beyond, we will find fascinating mixed grillades, which please the eye and the palate, fragrant fish fry-ups, very fresh bass and gilthead breams.
There is also something for meat-lovers: sensational, for fragrance and taste, 'pappardelle alla silana', and very delicate the risotto with porcini mushrooms. Among second courses, definitely worth mentioning are the prized fillet and the oven beef ‘tagliata’ with rocket or red radish.
And to finish off, limoncello, liquors flavoured with wood strawberries, chocolate and lemon cream – strictly home made: on the table they go pleasantly with desserts, also homemade...the gluttons : voluptuous chocolate cakes, jam pies, soft meringues, scented plum cakes, delicate fresh apple pastries...
A single secret: the passion for simple cuisine, which tickles the palate and teases our sense of smell...Let yourselves in for a treat!
