Luciano Benetton believes in France, and especially in megastores. In an interview to the "Journal du Dimanche", the Treviso entrepreneur tells of his groups "over the alps" effort for the next few months.A concrete effort and requiring a sizeable investment. Benetton will open before the end of the month 4 megastores in Paris, on the Champs Elisees, at the Opera Garnier, in Rue de Rennes and on the Boulevard Haussmann. Size: from a thousand to three thousand square meters each!
In the course of this year other big Benetton shops were open in Nantes, Amien and Reims. The objective is that of creating in France a growth comparable to the one recorded in the past three years in USA: from 15 to 20% more a year.
"The shops of great sizes " Benetton said in the interview "are more convenient for everyone. For the consumer, who requires ever more choice, and for us, as we then create and ever more interesting turnover. In Treviso, for example, we have moved our 400 square meter shop onto a surface of 1.500 square meters and since then we have selling three times more ".
