UI, University of Image, is the training school of the Industry Foundation - ONLUS - Milan, designed and founded by Fabrizio Ferri with the support of companies related to the world of image.The study programme lasts two years, the lessons, exercises and academic tests are interdisciplinary and they stimulate the construction of images starting from the five sense: sight; taste; hearing; smell; touch.
Reference professional figures are many, some still not very well known but extremely valid and stimulating, tied into companies that operate in various goods sectors, such as: fashion, advertising, beauty, communication, fragrances and scents, packaging, music, consumer marketing, personal hygiene.
Therefore, UI prepares: Photo Editors, Fashion Stylists, Fragrance Development Managers, Audio Digital Post Production Technician, Photographers, Beauty Editors, Perfumers ("Nose"), Digital image elaborators, Packaging Designers, Creative Directors, and more.
The training path is based on a programme and an academic method designed by the founder, Fabrizio Ferri, and based on: sense education, to become sensitive again and be able to use the five senses in a reasoned way for one’s own ends; self training motivation; sense of responsibility and aperture to all stimuli.
UI organises also a series of seminars and conferences dedicated to the role of the photographic image in contemporary literature, in music, in cinema, in philosophy.
To enrol in UI it is necessary to have a high school diploma or equivalent (for foreign students).
